Trip Highlights
We kicked off our vacation with Sunday night dinner and one woman comedy show at Odette's in New Hope. A great start to a great trip!
Monday, a naturalist guided us through the trails of Bowman's Nature Preserve, then we had a picnic lunch at the pavillion. In the afternoon, temperatures soared unexpectedly to 98 degrees, so we hit the shops of New Hope for entertainment and air-conditioning. The heat broke the next day, Thankfully! We hiked in Ralph Stover State Park, amidst dappled sunlight, purple dames rocket and cool spring breezes.
After a relaxing lunch on the porch of the Point Pleasant deli on our second day, we headed to world famous gardener and photographer, Derek Fell's garden at Cedar Rdige Farm. Mr.Fell turned out for our tour himself and showed us his vegetable garden, signed our copies of his books and sat for a group photo.
Folks enjoyed the early morning yoga sessions and elegant breakfasts at the Chimney Hill Farm Inn. "This place is so welcoming and relaxing," said Kathy from Ohio.
"Thank you, thank you, thank you, Maggie, for a wonderful trip. Well researched, well planned and executed, and great company and beautiful walks and other diversions. And?alas?great food! I can still taste the desserts?.
